Every carrier uses slightly different labels, but most claims move through these general stages.
Your carrier has received the claim report. An adjuster is typically assigned within one business day.
The adjuster reviews your policy, incident details, and initial documentation to determine next steps.
An inspection may be scheduled and additional photos, estimates, or reports may be requested.
The adjuster issues a coverage decision — approved, partially approved, or denied — with an explanation.
If approved, a settlement amount is calculated. You can review the breakdown with your VKOVR advisor before accepting.
The claim is resolved — payment issued, repairs authorized, or claim closed after denial or withdrawal.
Most carriers provide claim status through their online portal or mobile app. Log in with your policy credentials to see current stage and adjuster contact info.
Each status reflects where your claim is in the process. Our guide below explains what Submitted, In Review, and other stages typically mean.
If status has not changed or you need help interpreting an adjuster decision, your VKOVR advisor can follow up with the carrier on your behalf.
When your adjuster requests documentation, respond quickly. Delays on either side can extend the timeline to resolution.
